Happy Love Day!!

Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!

It is a day to celebrate love to yourself, your partner, your bae, your love, your crush, your significant other, your friends, your family, and your pets. This year was my very first “Galentine’s Day” with my gals. It was a very pink brunch filled with mimosas, face masks, games, and photo props. Flowers were decorated all over the walls and in bottles and vases on the tables. Valentine Sweetheart themed and heart balloons filled the photo wall and on the side some love themed props for photos. At the dining table, rose headbands were placed for each gal pal. And, there was even a cute little heart waffle maker! It was a nice way to celebrate our friendship and get together.

As for me, my partner and I went to Fuji | Sushi Buffet to celebrate Valentine’s day. To avoid waiting in the holiday rush, we skipped going the day of Valentine’s. Food was delicious. When I was younger, I did not like sushi because I was not exposed to it at first. The only food closest to it was a version that my mother made. It tastes great, but does not involve raw fish or seafood. Like all things in life, I got older and tried new things. I absolutely love sushi now.

Some of the dishes we had are salmon skin handrolls, “You da man” handrolls, salmon sashimi, shrimp tempura, eel nigiri, “Big man” roll, and some rolls from the boat line. One of the great things about this place is that if you sit at the sushi bar, they have a moving boat line with 3-4 dishes on each boat. Even if you don’t sit at the bar, you can still have access to the dishes. Another great feature about Fuji is that they also have a side bar for your cooked dishes, soups, fruits, and desserts. Some cooked dishes are fried chicken and walnut shrimp.
